Rangeen Duniya: Creativity and connections thrive as elderly residents collaborate with Nixor College students in crafting sessions, bridging generations at Sahara Old Age Home.

“Rangeen Duniya”, initiated by the Senior Citizens’ Welfare Program, seeks to kindle creativity and foster connections among the elderly residents of Sahara Old Age Home. The project invites seniors to Nixor college, providing crafting materials like buttons, yarn, and beads to unleash their artistic potential. Collaborating with Nixor students, the project aims to creates a positive intergenerational environment.

Throughout the event, volunteers were essential in helping older participants create lovely crafts, such as bracelets. Together, the seniors and kids’ varied talents were showcased in a colorful exhibition of original crafts.

It had profound positive impacts on the elderly, offering them a therapeutic outlet for creative expression. The event facilitated social interaction, bridging generational gaps and boosting the seniors’ self-esteem. The exhibition not only provided a platform for sharing talents but also promoted mutual understanding within the Nixor Community.
